WILLIAMSTOWN - Officials say operations are nearly back to normal after Friday's massive storm.
Mayor Jean Ford said power was restored to the city's water treatment plant late Monday afternoon, averting a potential sanitation disaster.
"I think we are going to be back to normal now," she said Tuesday.
Bud Phillips, water operator for the city of Williamstown, said a boil water advisory was lifted around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday after test results came back clean.
"We are back to normal operations," he said.
Ford asked for people to continue to conserve water for the remainder of the week as the city's reservoirs refill and sanitation system runs.
Most of the city's power has been restored, though Ford said some scattered locations are still without electricity.
"I'd say 99 percent of the town is up and running," she said. "For the people who do not yet have electricity, be patient, they are working to make sure everyone has power."
Ford said crews have been working to pick up debris and brush piles throughout the city and most of the major cleanup within Williamstown has been completed.
"We really appreciate emergency services and everybody that has helped out," she said.
