Walter J. Rohrbach, Jr., 75, of Lower Salem, went home to be with the Lord on July 2, 2012, at 11:15 p.m. at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Dec. 26, 1936, in Stoneboro, Pa., to Walter and Mary Gallagher Rohrbach. He worked at Geneva Metal Wheel and drove taxicab for many years.
He is survived by his companion Joann Rorhbach, his son Robert James Rohrbach of Pennsylvania, his daughter, Bonnie Grinnell of Marietta, stepson Kenneth Rohrbach of Pennsylvania, 4 grandchildren: Amy Bradley of Pennsylvania, Sarah Wriston of Lower Salem, Douglas and Samanther Shetler of Pennsylvania; 6 great grandchildren: Taylor and Summer Bradley of Pennsylvania, Cecilia Wriston of Washington state, Preston and Carley Wriston of Ohio, Thomas Gieble of Pennsylvania and 2 sisters, Jean Firster and Mary Joann Little of Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his grandson William Robert Rohrbach, his parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister and his second wife Helen Rohrbach.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday (July 7) at 1 p.m. at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following at East Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Friday at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.mslfuneralhome.com.
