Dorothy I. Thomas, 63, of Belpre, passed away on Sunday (July 8, 2012) at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Feb. 25, 1949, in Marietta, a daughter of Stephen and Colista I. Davis Kostelnik. She was a member of American Legion Post 64 Auxiliary and VFW Post 5108 Auxiliary. She was a graduate of Frontier High School.
Dorothy is survived by her life partner of 35 years, Larry Powell; daughter, Anita L. Powell and her companion, Aimee Russell; three brothers, Edward W. Kostelnik, William T. Kostelnik and Everett E. (Becky) Kostelnik; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and two sisters, Lenora May Miller, Freda M. Meritt, Robert S. Kostelnik.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday (July 12) at 11 a.m. at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home, where friends may call on Wednesday afternoon after 2 p.m. with family present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
