Yvonne Griffith, 75, of Reno, passed away at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday (July 10, 2012) at Heartland of Marietta.
She was born on Sept. 20, 1936, in Baltimore, Md., a daughter of Vincent Albert Daugherty and Ruth E. Theis Boord. She had been employed by Wal-Mart and was a member of New Life Pentecostal Church, VFW Post 5108 Ladies Auxiliary and had been involved with local Girl Scout organizations. She was the previous owner of Craft Nook in Marietta.
She married Alfred Edward Venham. Surviving are four sons and one daughter, Edward D. (Debbie) Venham of Belpre, Richard L. (Susan) Venham of Marietta, Cathy L. (Art) Clegg of Reno, Alfred E. (Sandra J.) Venham of Marietta, William Ross (Jane) Venham of Marietta; grandchildren, James, Michelle, Richard, Angela, Joshua David, Tinika, Cody, Alisha, Tessa, Stacy Lynn, Scott; 10 great-grandchildren; and half brother, Jack Daugherty.

She later married Raymond Griffith, who preceded her in death on May 24, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and two grandchildren, Julius Venham and Shawn Venham.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday (July 13) at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor David Ward officiating. Entombment will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.
