Ida Marie Joy, age 97, of Millersburg, Ohio, passed away Wednesday (July 11, 2012) at her home.
She was born April 5, 1915, in Lower Salem, Ohio and was the daughter of Morgan J. and Lillian (Hendershot) Myers. On Aug. 24, 1935, she married Raymond A. Joy and he preceded her in death on April 7, 1989. She had worked for Rice-Chadwick Rubber Co. in Killbuck and was a member of the Millersburg Church of Christ.
Surviving is an adopted daughter, Judith Wilson of Michigan; her former son-in-law, Franklin Giauque of Killbuck, Ohio; six grandchildren, David Giauque, Sharon Gilley, Karen Neinhuis, Pamela Conn, Darletta Giauque and Deborah Bell; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard "Dick" Myers of Millersburg, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Patricia Joanne, and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday (July 16, 2012) at the Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio with the Rev. Scott Spencer officiating. Burial will be at Paw Paw Cemetery, Lower Salem, Ohio. Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Monday at the funeral home.
Family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Millersburg Church of Christ, 926 E. Jackson St. Ext., Millersburg, Ohio 44654.
