Eddy-Bennett

Virginia (Gina) D. Eddy of Fleming and Zachary W. Bennett were united in marriage in a double ring ceremony on April 21 at Waverly Church of Christ in Waverly, W.Va. The ceremony was officiated by Wilbert Antill.

The bride is the daughter of Kathryn A. Eddy and the late Kenny D. Eddy of Fleming and the granddaughter of the late Floyd and Mabel Eddy of Waverly, and the late Denver and Alma Cunningham of Parkersburg.

The bridegroom is the son of William and Jane Bennett of Williamstown. He is the grandson of Delbert and Louise Bennett of Williamstown, and Shirley Todd and the late Thomas "Jiggs" Todd of Waverly.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Warren Local High School and a 2007 graduate of Marietta College in Psychology. She is currently employed at L&P Services in Marietta

The bridegroom is a 2005 graduate of Williamstown High School and attended WVUP. He is currently employed at DIMEX in Reno, Ohio.

The bride was escorted down the isle and given in marriage by her mother in place of her brother, David J. Eddy who is currently serving the military in Fussa, Japan with his family

She wore a sweetheart neckline, strapless satin dress, with intricate beading in the middle. The dress bunched in the middle and had pickups in the fabric to the floor. She wore a beaded, decorated head piece with the veil in the back flowing down around her waist.

The maid of honor was Laura R. Eddy of Jasper, Tenn., sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Emilee McAfee of Fleming, and Holly Woodrum of Parkersburg. They wore tea length black dresses with orange and blue flowers to accent. The bride and her attendants carried a mixture of blue and orange flowers arranged by the bride's mother and Linda Hughes

Matt Ellison of Ripley, served as best man. The groomsmen were Walker Bennett, brother of the bridegroom from Williamstown, and Mathew Fouty from Belpre.

Also not able to attend the wedding due to serving the country in the Air Force at that time were escort/groomsman, David Eddy, brother of the bride; bridesmaid, Renea Eddy, sister-in-law of the bride; ring bearer, Ethan Eddy and flower girl, Elle Eddy, nephew and niece of the bride, all of Fussa, Japan.

The reception was held at the Williamstown Legion Post #159 in Williamstown with food and music. The cake was made and decorated by the bridegroom's grandmother, Louise Bennett of Williamstown.

The honeymoon was in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

They currently residing in Fleming.
