It never seems to amaze me how some inconsiderate people on the river never think of anyone else's possessions but their own.
My husband and I have owned a boat for 15 years and have a pretty good idea of boat etiquette. However, there are a few out there on the river who only think of themselves, not anyone else.
Recently, several of us were gathered at our river lots on a local campground and noticed this big cruiser coming up the river at a pretty high rate of speed. For whatever reason, this boat made an abrupt, 180-degree turn right in front of our dock, causing a huge wave and later a wave causing one of the boats tied to the dock to come loose and partially separate from the dock into the Ohio River and the occupants of another boat to rock and roll like a couple of little rags dolls.
Now let me say this, when we go up the Muskingum River, we observe the no wake zone, respecting the boats.
Please in the future, observe the good boat etiquette ... you are not the only one on the river.
Where is the river police when you need them?
