The man suspected in a June 12 murder in Morgan County was arrested by police Tuesday in Delaware, Ohio, without incident.
Timmy Stevens, 39, last known address of 1206 Greenwood Ave., Zanesville, was charged with murder on June 22 for allegedly shooting John Davis III, 36, last known address of 8565 Smith-Calhoun Road Lot 124, Plain City.
Davis' body was found June 20 near a creek on Bald Eagle Road in Windsor Township. A preliminary autopsy report indicated that Davis died of a single gunshot to the head.
Receiving information through confidential sources on Monday, police were able to locate Stevens on Tuesday.
Police in Delaware were preparing to make the attempt to locate Stevens based on the information received from their sources when he was spotted on the street and arrested.
Along with the murder charge, Stevens also has a felonious assault charge pending in Morgan County.
Additional information is expected to be released today.
