Earl and Betty Metts celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary on July 12. They were married in the bride's home on July 12, 1941.
She is the daughter of the late Clyde and Gertrude Beaver. He is the son of the late George and Mary Metts.
The couple have three children: Larry (Connie) Metts of Greenwood, Ind., Lori (Bill) O'Connor of Marietta, and the late Laiten Metts. They have four grandchildren: Aimee (Terry) Woehler and Stephanie (Joedy) Davis of Indianapolis, Ind., and Shawn and Will O'Connor of Marietta. They have four great-grandchildren: Gwen and Grace Woehler and Will and Ella Davis.
