Greg and Marlene Greene recently celebrated their 40th anniversary. They were married in Churchtown by Msgr. Charles Highland on July 1, 1972.
She is the daughter of Mary Lou Huck and the late John W. Huck Sr. He is the son of the late Ross and Meriem Greene.
They have three children: Matthew (Jennifer) Greene of Stockport, Greg Greene of Rockbridge and Katrina (Derek) Maklezow of Wisconsin. They have seven grandchildren: Sylvia, Walden and Ignatius Greene of Stockport, Gunnar and Lena Greene of Rockbridge, and Mia and Gavin Maklezow of Wisconsin.
They were surprised by their children and family on thir anniversary while celebrating his retirement from Globe Metallurgical.
He recently retired from Globe Metallurgical after 32 years of service. She has owned Family Hair Care for 15 years and has been a beautician for 44 years.
They are planning a family vacation with all their family at Myrtle Beach in August.
