The Washington County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday afternoon the sheriff will be holding a press conference at 4:30 p.m. concerning an arrest made in the Patrick Arnold homicide case. Arnold was found murdered outside his home at 2410 Bells Run Road, Newport, in the last week of July 2008.
During the press conference, officers said Mark F. Stevens, 48, of 285 Bells Run Road, was arrested at his home Wednesday and charged with murder. He is being held without bond at the Washington County Jail and will have his first court appearance in Marietta Municipal Court Thursday.
