I support Charlie Wilson because he is one of us. Wilson grew up here and knows our families. When Wilson was in Congress he fought to bring federal funding back home to the district. Wilson was able to bring back $436 million to the counties of the Sixth district; that is funding that went directly to paving our roads, improving our schools and make the necessary infrastructure improvements needed to grow our economy.
Wilson has also been a friend to our manufacturing and mining industries. Wilson stood up to his own party when asked to support the Cap and Trade bill. We need this kind of independent leadership in Washington. Wilson knows that a strong manufacturing base means jobs for our local economy. He would never vote in favor of trade policies that send American manufacturing jobs overseas.
I support Charlie Wilson because he supports us.
