Thanks to all who supported Poker Run

August 9, 2012
The Marietta Times

Rhonda Deem and I would like to thank all the donors and volunteers who helped make the 2012 Bark-Aid 12th Annual Poker Run on July 28 a success.

We were down $1,500 from last year's run, because of another poker run on the same day and another one again on Sunday. When booking your next poker run in the future, you might want to check the computer for other poker runs being held. Consequently, in this case, both causes lost money. All proceeds went to the medical fund. Thanks to all that attended.

The following is a list of "Licker Wagon" donors: Jeff and Penny Givens, Jeff Meeks, Robert and Penny Ward, Troy and Michelle Gaughan, Juanita and Ron Becker, Weber's Carry-Out, Ron and Louise Holmes, Pat Lambing, Murf's Beachcomber, Bob's Tiki Hut at Sandcastle, Marlene DeLaney, Carol and Brett McKitrick, The Station Carry-Out, Jen and Mel Deem, Chris and Rhonda Deem, VFW Post 5108, Norwood "Tavern On The Greene," The Town House, The Wrangler Tavern, Brian Hanson, Cork 'N Bottle Discount Liquor Warehouse.

These vendors donated door prizes: Auto Paint Works, Auto Zone, Kassel Music, Steve's Vans, Marietta Polaris, Big 4 Motor Sports, Hometown Honda, S and P Harley Davidson, Fish Bone Gil and Grill, Ron's Porta Johns, Premier Printing Solutions, Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 168, Blacksmith Tavern and Grill, Kathey "Buhla" Norwoski, Sportarama, Inc., Mondo Polymers, Goodyear Auto Center, Donna and Gib Rowley, Pioneer Family Golf, Advanced Auto Parts, Adventure Harley-Davidson, Tyler Snell, United Rentals, The Boat House.

Here are a list of volunteers that helped put this all together: Lisa and Bob Merrow, John and Jodi Morrison, Cindy and Sam Badgley, Chris and Rhonda Deem, Jennifer Deem, Carol McKitrick, Marlene Delaney, Troy and Michelle Vaughan, Chad Skinner, Mary and Roger Eddy, Siege Schrader, Carla Berentz, Don Potter, Sandy, Murf, Glenn and Girls at Beachcomber, Eric "Charles" Merrow, Trena Valentine, Brian Hanson.
