Lloyd and Sandra Cowell of Vincent will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Dec. 27, 1961, at First Presbyterian Church, Parkersburg by Dr. William Ferry.
She is the daughter of the late Robert and Rebecca Spencer. He is the son of the late George and Lois Cowell. He retired from Cowell Insurance Service after 42 years. He and his brother, George Cowell Jr., were partners in starting and operating Cowell Realty, the Northlake Development at Veto and The Oxbow Golf Course and The Oxbow Housing Development. Currently the couple are with Cranston Real Estate.
The couple have three children: Caroline (John) Segelken, Canal Winchester, Ohio, Lloyd Cowell Jr. (Anne Shay), Kensington, Calif., and Christopher Cowell (Cheryl), Cincinnati. They have six grandchildren: Abby and Jack Segelken, Ethan and Aaron Shay-Cowell, and Lucas and Dennis Cowell.
The couple's children are inviting family and friends to a celebration at First Presbyterian Church 1341 Juliana St., Parkersburg, on Aug. 12 from 2:30 to 5 p.m. They request no gifts, but recollections and good wishes to include in a memory book would be appreciated.
