Volunteers worked hard to help Williamstown pantry

August 16, 2012
The Marietta Times

During the days of power outages and stress, I'm sure many of you have been assisted by friends and neighbors - maybe even people you don't know. We, at the Williamstown Food Pantry, are fortunate to have three volunteers who went into action Thursday morning - loaded up ruined chickens from three freezers, took them to a dumping site in South Parkersburg, then came back and cleaned and sanitized the freezers, refrigerators and entire building with chlorox water. This certainly was not an easy task on a hot day.

Our sincere thanks to Joe Ruf, Tom Rowell and Rob Scott for their generosity of time and muscles and their love of community!
