Henry W. Piatt, 95, of 38641 Straightfork Road, Graysville, Ohio, passed away Wednesday (Aug. 15, 2012) at Barnesville Hospital, Barnesville, Ohio.
He was born near Graysville, Ohio, on July 2, 1917, a son of the late Frank and Lena Hercher Piatt.
He was a retired employee of the former Conalco Corporation, Hannibal, Ohio. He attended the Stafford United Methodist Church, Stafford, Ohio. Henry was also a retired farmer and former oil field worker. He was a former member of the Circle M Riding Club, and enjoyed riding horses.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ida Weddle Piatt; a daughter, a brother, Everett Piatt; and a sister, Ona Tallman.
Surviving are his wife, Eileen Bennett Piatt whom he married on Sept. 1, 1972; one daughter, Yvonne (Herman) Ritterbeck of Pataskala, Ohio; one son, Neil Piatt of Missouri; one sister, Evelyn Weddle of Graysville, Ohio; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and special friends, Dale (Pauline) Williams, Bev and Rick Brown, Rick (Shelly) Meisel, and Tim (Paula) Blake.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio, from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday with Pastor Darla Schnegg officiating. Burial will follow in Low Gap Cemetery near Rinard Mills, Ohio.
