Post-season meeting on Beverly pool
The Village of Beverly swimming pool committee will have a post-season meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Beverly-Waterford Community Swimming Pool.
Zumbro Bridge to close for repairs
The Zumbro Bridge on Washington County 197 (Sheets Road) will be closed beginning at 8 a.m. Monday for painting and deck replacement. The closure will be approximately two weeks and should reopen to traffic by Sept. 7. Signs will be posted for the closure.

Marietta Band
Boosters to meet
Marietta Band Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the high school band room. Middle school and high school band parents are encouraged to attend. Upcoming fall events will be discussed.
Traditional country show at Chesterhill
Rodney and the Regulars will perform their brand of traditional country music at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Union Hall Theater, 7520 Marion St., Chesterhill. The cost is $10 for adults and $1 for those age 18 and under. The band features great vocals, pedal steel guitar, electric and acoustic guitars and standup bass.

Farmers Market open Saturday
The River City Farmers Market is open every Saturday year-round from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and this Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. The market is located at the Washington County Fairgrounds, 922 Front St., Marietta. Fresh local produce includes tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, egg plant, squash, greens, sprouts, watermelon, and apples. Also available is pork, beef, chicken, rabbit, lamb, free range eggs, organic cheeses, honey, freshly baked goodies and award winning crafts. The market is outside under the grandstands until after the fair.

$2 bag sale at food pantry thrift store
The thrift store of the Western Washington County Food Pantry, 18 High St., Vincent, will have a $2 bag sale on clothing through Aug. 30. The hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and 1 to 4 p.m. and 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
