Diane and Ron Elliott will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 26. They were married on Aug. 26, 1962, at Norwood Methodist Church in Marietta by the Rev. Thomas Taylor.
She is the daughter of the late Don and June Wagner of Marietta. He is the son the late George and Lila of Beverly.
Mr. Elliott is retired from American Electrical Power as a human resources supervisor and Mrs. Elliott is retired as an elementary school teacher for Fort Frye Local Schools.
The couple have two children: Michael and his wife, Stacy, of Marietta; and Pamela of Poland, Ohio. They have two grandchildren: Patrick and Andrew, both of Marietta.
There will be an anniversary celebration given by their children from 2 to 4 p.m. on Aug. 26 at the Presbyterian Church in Beverly. They request that gifts be omitted, but would love to visit with family and friends.
