Jerry W. Robertson, 74, of Williamstown, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday (Aug. 26, 2012) from his residence. He was born July 14, 1938, in Marietta a son of the late Donald E. and Melma L. Miller Robertson.
Jerry was a 1956 graduate of Williamstown High School, had attended Marietta College, had worked at Crystal Dairy, Miller's Welding and Machine Shop, retired from Elkem Metals with 28 1/2 years service as a maintenance machinist and was co-owner of Pioneer Meat Processing.
He was also a Hospice Volunteer, a Wood County poll worker, was an active member of the Williamstown Senior Citizen Center Club and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Williamstown. Jerry enjoyed his church, family, friends and traveling to see new sites.

He is survived by a son Jerry W. 'Jay' Robertson Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, of Parkersburg; a daughter, Julie K. Williams and her husband, Chuck, of Lubeck,W.Va.; three grandsons, Jeremy Robertson and Ben and Brandon Williams; three great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; nine stepgreat-grandchildren; and his fiance, June Buchanan of Williamstown.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Sonja Robertson; one brother, Ted Robertson; and two grandchildren, Sarina and Joshua Robertson.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Rev. Steve Gedon officiating, Burial will follow in the Evergreen North Cemetery, Parkersburg Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
