We would like to publicly thank the dedicated staff at the Washington County Public Library for hosting the murder mystery event held on Saturday, Aug. 11.
This event, held after the library closed, had a Hawaiian theme as evidenced by the leis all participants received, party decorations, the attire worn by those in attendance and the "tropical" food buffet. The only missing element were Hula dancers and ukulele players.
Although scheduled to last from 5 to 7:30 p.m., the mystery party did not end until almost 9 p.m. The four hours spent searching for clues, interviewing potential witnesses and possible culprits, enjoying the buffet and interacting with our group members made the time pass quickly.
We had a very enjoyable evening at the Washington County Public Library and hope another mystery event will be held in the future.
We also encourage everyone to support their local library. We hope all of you vote for any library levy, donate to the Washington County Public Library Foundation, frequently borrow and return materials and regularly attend library programs. A strong and well-funded public library is essential for creating a vital community.
Thanks again.
