City officials made the decision to put up new signs that say "No Trucks" on Colegate Drive. These signs will replace the "No Through Trucks" signs that were previously on the roadside. Judge Ed Lane said the switch is necessary because there is no definition of a "through truck" in either the city or state traffic code. City Engineer Bob Badger said the switch means that a truck cannot be on Colegate unless it has an origin or destination in that area.
Washington County recorded an unemployment rate of 7.7 percent, its lowest since 1979.
