Disabilities board will hold meeting
The Washington County Board of Developmental Disabilities will hold a regular board meeting at 5:15 p.m. today at Ewing School, 1701 Colegate Drive, Marietta.
Barlow Library to dedicate center
The Friends of the Barlow Library will hold a dedication of the new Community Resource Center at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 17. The center is located at 45 White Oak Professional Center. Refreshments will follow the ceremony.
Ribbon cutting will be at wetlands
The wetlands committee of the GFWC Williamstown Woman's Club will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at the entrance kiosk for the Wetlands Trail accessed from the back parking lot of da Vinci's in Williamstown. The ceremony will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 13.
Bigfoot group will host a camp out
The SouthEastern Ohio Society for Bigfoot Investigation camp out and meeting will be held from noon Friday through 1 p.m. Sunday at the Salt Fork State Park group camp round on Parker Road. The cost is $5 per person per night. There will be a meeting at 7 p.m. Saturday around the fire. Those attending should bring a lawn chair and snacks to cook around the fire. The event is open to anyone interested in Bigfoot.

'Hunger Games' film will be viewed
Teens ages 13 to 18 are invited to watch The Hunger Games at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at the Marietta location of the Washington County Public Library. 615 Fifth St. To attend, they must register in the Youth Services department and pick up a parental permission form to be returned on the day of the event.
