Clarence Edward "Ed" Cisler, 52, of New Matamoras, died Monday (Sept. 3, 2012) at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born on Dec. 31, 1959, in New Martinsville, W.Va. the son of Harry C. and Joyce A. Harmon Cisler. He was a self employed truck driver and was a graduate of River High School and Swiss Hills Vocational School in 1978. He was a member of the National Honor Society and a lifetime member of the Owner Operator Independent Drivers Association.
He was married to Sheri Kirkpatrick who preceded him in death on Nov. 23, 2001.
He is survived by one daughter, Danielle Cisler of Columbus; his parents, of New Matamoras; four brothers, T. Keith Cisler (Ruby) of Malaga, Ohio, W. Jeffrey Cisler (Joyce) of Waverly, W.Va., Kenneth Cisler (Leslie) of New Matamoras, Brian Cisler (Stephanie) of New Matamoras; and one sister, Tracy Lenore Cisler of Woodsfield, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at the Hadley Funeral Home in New Matamoras on Friday (Sept. 7, 2012) at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Matamoras Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday (Sept. 6, 2012) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers friends are asked to contribute to the charity of their choice.
