Library offers story hour, toddler time
The Marietta location of the Washington County Public Library, 615 Fifth St., is offering Story Hour at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wednesdays and Toddler Time at 10 a.m. Mondays.
Story Hour includes story-telling, movies and crafts for children ages 3 to 5 and is held in the library meeting room. A parent or caregiver should remain with the child.
Toddler Time includes stories, finger plays, songs and more for those 18 months to 3 years old and is also held in the meeting room. A parent or caregiver should remain with the child.

Outdoor Youth Day to be held Saturday
The Washington County Fish and Game Club will host an Outdoor Youth Day Saturday. The event is open to boys and girls ages 5 to 18. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Seminars include archery, air rifles, Ohio furs, casting, K-9, first aid and snakes.

Zoning commission meeting slated today
The Muskingum Township Zoning Commission will hold its quarterly meeting at 7 p.m. today at the Muskingum Township building.
Waste management board meet Sept. 17
The Southeastern Ohio Joint Solid Waste Management District Board of Directors will meet at 1 p.m. Sept. 17 at Lori's Family Restaurant, 17020 McConnelsville Road, Caldwell. The district's Policy Advisory Committee will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Lori's Family Restaurant.
Free meal, clothing giveaway at church
A free meal and clothing giveaway will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Faith United Methodist Church, 503 Seventh St., Marietta. The event is held the third Saturday of every month.
September dinner will be at fire station
The Fearing Township Volunteer Fire Department will host its September dinner Saturday. Serving starts at 4 p.m. at the fire station at 1975 Stanleyville Road, Whipple. There will be a serving choice of boneless pork chop or white chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cole slaw, choice of pie or cake.
