Bartlett St. drainage to be discussed
The City Of Marietta will hold a neighborhood meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at the Marietta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 117 Bartlett St. The topic of discussion will be Bartlett street drainage and resurfacing improvements.
Event to celebrate the Constitution
Marietta will celebrate the 225th anniversary of the Constitution of the United States of America at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the First Congregational Church, 318 Front St. The Marietta chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution will present the colors in period costume. Dr. Andrew Wehrman, assistant history professor at Marietta College, will be the speaker.
W.P. Snyder exhibit opens Saturday
"The Ritts' W.P. Snyder Jr. Legacy" exhibit will open at the Ohio River Museum in Marietta Saturday. The exhibit features artifacts, photos and writings by Capt. Charles E. Ritts and his son Charles E. Ritts, Jr.
Capt. Ritts worked for the Crucible Steel Co. of America for more than 40 years.
Meeting, weiner roast at Palmer
A Palmer precinct meeting and weiner roast will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, at the Palmer Community Building on Ohio 676.

Reno Lions Club plans yard sale
The Reno Lions Club will hold a community yard sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 21 and 22 at the Marietta Township Recreation Center. Space will be available for $12 a day and tables will be rented for $5. Proceeds from the yard sale will go to Lions Club community service projects.

Homecoming

Free legal clinic in Marietta Sept. 19
The Washington County Bar Association and Southeastern Ohio Legal Services will offer a free legal clinic from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 19 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 320 Second St., Marietta. Walk-ins are welcome. The clinics are for those unable to afford legal representation.
