Army Specialist Kevin P. Allman, of Parkersburg, graduated after 10 weeks of basic combat training on May 4 at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. Spc. Allman continued his military training at Goodfellow Airforce Base in San Angelo, Texas, for 13 weeks of intense fire fighting training at the Louis F. Garland fire academy. Spc. Allman graduated on Aug. 21, 2012. He will serve as a Department of Defense army firefighter with the Army Reserves unit 261st OD CO Ammo, in Cross Lanes, W.Va.
