Westbrook Health Services, Inc. announces that Dr. Sumana Gadde, M.D. is now providing children's psychiatric services at Westbrook's 7th St. location.
The addition of Dr. Gadde to Westbrook Health Services will further promote our initiative of offering the best comprehensive care to children, adolescents, and their families. In working with our mental health therapists, case managers, and other support staff, Dr. Gadde will enable us to offer a treatment team approach to current and new clients to Westbrook Health Services.
Dr. Gadde's principal concentration is in working with children and families to develop long-term relationships, cultivate resources for the family, and advocate for the patient. Westbrook is confident that Dr. Gadde will play an important role in meeting the behavioral health care needs of children of by filling a gap in service provision for youth. She will address a variety of behavioral health care issues including more complicated autism spectrum disorders.
Dr. Gadde completed her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Vanderbilt Medical Center. She was a resident in General Psychiatry at the University Of Louisville School Of Medicine. Dr. Gadde received her M.B.B.S. degree in Rajiv Gandhi University, India.
She is the 2010 recipient of the Alan Ballew University of Louisville Outpatient Psychiatric Award as well as the Veterans Administration Award from the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at the University Of Louisville School Of Medicine.
Dr. Gadde was involved in the clinical interviewing of parents and adolescents in a 7 year follow-up study in the management of ADHD as a research assistant in the Department of Psychiatry in the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. She presented, "Is there a relationship between Alcohol Abuse and Suicide Mortality, A Review" at the Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, Jamaica, N.Y..
