Opal Weber

Opal Weber went home to be with the Lord on Friday (Sept. 21, 2012), one day after her 98th birthday at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

She was a member of the Harmony Hill Baptist Church, Matamoras Senior Citizens and the All-Faith Choir. She loved to sew and she made all the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren quilts.

Opal is survived by son, Gary Weber (Roberta) of Norton, Ohio; a daughter, Diana Starr (Steve) of Doylestown, Ohio; and daughter-in-law, Sally Weber of Doylestown; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Harold Weber (March, 20, 2001); son, Harold Dean Weber; one grandchild, Garrett Todd Starr; brothers, Miles, Mearl, and George Cline.

Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hadley Funeral Home, New Matamoras, with the Rev. Ron Weber and the Rev. James Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Presbyterian Cemetery in Brownsville, Ohio. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Harmony Hill Baptist Church.
