W.Va. DOH plans Williamstown
The West Virginia Division of Highways has announced that a routine inspection of the Williamstown-Marietta West Virginia 31 Bridge is scheduled to being today.
The inspection is expected to continue today through Thursday and Oct. 8-11. No lane closures are expected on West Virginia 31 but motorists are asked to slow down and use caution while crossing the bridge as inspectors will be presents. There will also be traffic control on Marietta streets under the bridge to accommodate the use of aerial lifts.
Sat. at museums
In honor of National Museum Day the Campus Martius and Ohio River museums in Marietta will offer free admission Saturday.
Behavorial Health Board to meet
The Washington County Behavorial Health Board will hold its next regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at L&P Services, 207 Colegate Drive, Marietta. The board is currently taking applications for new members. Those interested should call 374-6990.
Barlow Fair Board election Saturday
The election for new members of the Barlow Fair Board will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday in the coonhunters building at the fairgrounds. All membership holding people are encouraged to vote. Five people will be elected, four to three-year terms and one for a two-year term.
The annual meeting of the Barlow Fair will be at noon Thursday in the fair board office.
Warren's Class of '72 meets Friday
The Warren High School Class of 1972 will have a gathering at the Boathouse in Marietta at 6:30 p.m. Friday. No reservations are needed.
Marietta College will officially dedicate Harrison Hall during a special ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday as part of the Family Weekend activities. The college will also be dedicating the Dr. J. Michael Harding Center for Health and Wellness, with tours of the complex offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Harrison Hall is located at the corner of Seventh and Putnam streets.
Switzerland finance committee meets
The Switzerland of Ohio Local Schools finance committee will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the central office, 304 Mill St., Woodsfield.
