Adkins-Thrasher

Lacasta Lynn Adkins and Jason Robert Thrasher were united in marriage on April 21 at Veto Gospel Tabernacle with bridegroom's stepfather officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Rose and Hoyt Adkins Jr. of Marietta. She is the granddaughter of Orpha and Hoyt Adkins Sr. of Reno and the late Hebert Williams. She is a 2005 graduate of Washington of Washington County Career Center and Frontier High School as well as a 2012 graduate of Washington State Community College. She is employed at United Rentals, formerly Leasco Equipment Services, in Marietta.

The bridegroom is the son of Bryan Thrasher of Marietta and Barbara and Wayne Vogelsong of Coolville. He is the grandson of Roseen and the late Herman Trout of Barlow, the late Leroy Thrasher, Gary and the late Kathryn Masters of Belpre, and Bob Meek of Beverly. He is a 2005 graduate of Washington County Career Center and Warren High School. He is employed at International Converter Inc. in Caldwell.

The bride was given in marriage and escorted down the aisle by her father. She wore a strapless, ivory and red dress with metallic embroidery crystal beading with black snake skin print heels. The dress had matching embroidery and beading on the semi-cathedral train. She carried a cascading bouquet made of red and ivory roses. The bridegroom wore black dress pants, white dress shirt, and a red tie with The Ohio State University logo.

The matron of honor was Carolyn Binegar, cousin of the bride. The bridesmaid was Lauren Allen. They wore gray knee length dresses with matching black snake skin print heels. They each carried bouquets of red and white roses. The flower girl was Makynli Binegar, cousin of the bride. She wore an Ohio State University cheerleader dress with silver glitter flats.

The best man was Brandon Thrasher, brother of the bridegroom. The groomsman was Jeremy (Knute) Allen. They wore black dress pants, white dress shirts, and gray ties with The Ohio State University logos. The ring bearer was Preston Binegar, cousin of the bride. He wore black dress pants with an Ohio State University jersey.

The reception was held at the Goodfellows Park in Marietta.

The couple went to the Amish country for their honeymoon and are residing in Belpre.
