Free family movie night Sunday
A free family movie night will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at North Hills Baptist Church, 108 Stonecrest Drive, Marietta. Movies being shown include "Courageous," "Race Against Nightfall" and "Veggie Tales 'Jonah.'" There will be popcorn, sno-cones and drinks.

The Marietta location of the Washington County Public Library, 615 Fifth St. will offer the following free computer classes in October:
The Ins and Outs of eBooks at 10 a.m. Oct. 9. Learn how to check out and read eBooks from the library using your computer, eReader, smartphone, digital tablet or Kindle.
Intermediate Computing at 1 p.m. Oct. 11. Learn how to get connected to the Internet and use a web browser.
Basic Word Processing at 6 p.m. Oct. 15. Learn how to find information on the Internet.
Advanced Computing at 1 p.m. Oct. 18. Learn how to navigate menus, run programs, save and open files and print using Windows 7.
Computer Maintenance at 10 a.m. Oct. 30. Learn how to maximize your computer's performance and prolong its life.
Classes typically last two hours. Registration is recommended by calling 373-1057, Ext. 208 or stopping by the library's information desk.
Children Services levy group to meet
The Washington County Children Services Levy Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at 204 Davis Ave., Marietta.
The Washington County Children Services board will meet in regular session at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at 204 Davis Ave.
Post 389 auxiliary plans Poker Run
American Legion Auxiliary Unit 389 in Beverly will sponsor its ninth annual Poker Run Saturday. The cost is $10 per person or $15 per couple. The first bike out will be at 11 a.m. and the last bike out is at 1 p.m. There will be door prizes, a 50/50, food and a Harley-Davidson quilt to be auctioned off. Proceeds will benefit the RIF program and other auxiliary projects.
