Mandel has the skills to serve as U.S. senator

October 3, 2012
The Marietta Times

Josh Mandel: This is an intelligent, hard-working young man who is worthy of our support and votes as he runs for United States senator from Ohio. While our federal government is over $16 trillion in debt and continues to spend, spend, spend, Mandel, as Ohio State Treasurer, made much-needed cuts in Ohio's spending so that Ohio had a $400,000 surplus at the end of his first year in office. He continues to work hard to save Ohio taxpayers' money. He believes that government should work to balance its budget just as families must balance theirs.

Mandel's work ethic and common sense appeals to democrats as well as republicans. Before becoming Ohio State Treasurer, Mandel was elected to two terms as state representative from a district with a 2:1 democratic to republican voter ratio.

As a courageous and patriotic American, Mandel enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserves and served two tours of duty in Iraq. In recognition of his distinguished service to our country, he received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. Mandel also supports our Constitution, including our Second Amendment right to own guns.

We cannot afford the re-election of Sherrod Brown. He has voted for 95 percent of the Obama agenda, including the 2,700-page Obamacare disaster. Americans have been privileged to live in this God-blessed country for over 200 years. It is my hope and prayer that present and future generations will be able to enjoy the freedom that I have known. This nation does not require "transformation" to socialism.

Please support Mandel for United States senator from Ohio.
