100 years ago

The city's electric plant must replace most of its equipment and light fixtures. W. Edgar Reed, a consulting engineer from Pittsburg, did the inspection. The total cost is estimated at $37,000.

A jersey cow, belonging to William King, died after ingesting a tag that was attached to almost three inches of wire.
