Harry and Betty Beaver celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Sept. 6 with a surprise party at the Senior Center in New Matamoras.
About 100 guests attended the celebration. There were refreshments and a slide show presentation of their life together put together by their niece, Melissa Thomas to the music of Remember When by Alan Jackson and Look At Us by Vince Gill.
The party was hosted by David and Doretta Thomas, her brother and sister in law, with the assistance of David and Tess Thomas, Ryan, and Alicia Cochran, Melissa Thomas, Margie Hiermer, David Deaver, the couple's son, and Diana Felter, their daughter.
