Marietta boosters selling Band Bucks
Marietta Band Boosters are selling Marietta Band Bucks discount cards for $10 each. The cards offer discounts to more than 50 local businesses. Cards may be purchased from any band member or by calling Susan Hale at 336-0751. All proceeds from the fundraiser go toward the middle school and high school band programs.
All-you-can-eat breakfast Saturday
An all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast will be held from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cutler Chapel United Methodist Church on County Road 3. Donations will be accepted.
Kitchen tour of four homes in Marietta
Marietta's Fine Kitchen & Fine Food Tour will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday. It includes a tour of exceptional kitchens in four Marietta homes. Guests will sample a different soup and artisan bread at each house. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at any of the sites. Tickets are on sale now at the Betsey Mills Club. Pancake breakfast, open house at VFD
The Little Hocking Volunteer Fire Department, 99 Tower Road, Little Hocking, will host a pancake breakfast and open house from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday. There is no charge for breakfast, but donations are appreciated. There will also be door prizes, fire truck rides and a smoke house for children.
Lowell church will hold Campfire Night
Highland Ridge Community Church, 2200 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, will hold Campfire Night from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church. Children of all ages are invited for an evening of "camp" food, crafts, games, storytelling and a sing-along.

Ladies auxiliary will hold annual yard sale
The Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 6387 will hold its annual yard sale at the post from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Food will be available.
Biologist with ODOT to present program
The October program of the Marietta Natural History Society will be provided by Michael Austin, biologist with the Ohio Department of Transportation. He will introduce some of "Our Linear Friends: Snakes of Southeastern Ohio" and describe their distribution, ecology and biology. The program will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday in Room 150 of Marietta College's Selby Hall.
