Civitan ladies plan supper, style show
The Pioneer Ladies Civitan Club Salad Supper and Style Show will be held at 6 p.m. Oct. 16 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 312 Franklin St., Marietta. There will be a style show, raffle and purse auction. The cost is $10, which includes dinner.
Soup luncheon
in Beverly Sunday
The Beverly Masonic Lodge will hold an all-you-can-eat soup luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. There will be four kinds of soup, sandwiches and dessert. Donations are accepted. Carry-out and delivery is available by calling 984-2826.
Free legal clinic
Oct. 17 in Marietta
The Washington County Bar Association and Southeastern Ohio Legal Services will offer a free legal clinic from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 17 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 320 Second St., Marietta. Walk-ins are welcome. The clinic is for those unable to afford legal representation (less than 187 percent of the poverty guideline).

of 1950 luncheon
The Waterford High School class of 1950 will hold its monthly luncheon at 11 a.m. Oct. 18 at the Cornerstone Inn in Beverly. All classmates and friends are welcome.
Caring and Sharing free lunch Saturday
The Singles and Doubles Class of First Baptist Church, 301 Fourth St., Marietta, will be offering its Caring and Sharing Free Community Lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The menu will include chili, sandwiches, dessert and beverage. The class offers this free community lunch as a part of its Christian Outreach Ministry on the second Saturday of each month.
There will also be a second free lunch served by the Acacia class of First Baptist Church on the fourth Saturday of October, at the same time and location.
Candidate meet
and greet Saturday
An event is planned for 4 p.m. Saturday at Masonic Park to give Washington County voters the opportunity to meet and greet Peg Littler, candidate for county commissioner. There will be food and a chance for one-on-one time with Littler.
