Dave was a devoted family man to his wife and two daughters; he loved holidays when the family was all at home again.

David is survived by his wife, Mary Kendall of Marietta; two daughters, Sandy Purdy of Marietta and Tracey Kendall Fransisco (Doug), Holt, Michigan; two stepsons, Robert Carpenter of Marietta and Larry Carpenter of Marietta; eight grandchildren, Chris Matheny (Lacey), Williamstown, Jenna Radabaugh (James), Marietta, Thomas Fletcher (Alana), Holt, Michigan, Kristian Fletcher, Las Vegas, Nevada, Chad Carpenter, Marietta, Brian Carpenter (Angie), North Carolina, Brent Carpenter, Marietta, Bradley Carpenter (Bobbie), Stockport; and his favorite daughter-in-law, Patricia Carpenter of Stockport; and many great-grandchildren.
