The Marietta Township senior luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Marietta Township Recreation Center, 260 Sandhill Road, Reno. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish. The luncheon is open to all seniors.
Decatur church
to sell apple butter
Decatur United Methodist Church, 3214 State Route 555, Little Hocking will be making and selling apple butter from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The cost is $3.50 for a pint and $6 for a quart.
Beverly, Waterford VFD fundraiser
An event benefiting the Beverly-Waterford Volunteer Fire Department will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday and will include a euchre card party, raffle, country store and bake sale. The party will be held in the fire department building in Beverly. The cost to play is $1 but donations are welcome. All proceeds will be matched by Modern Woodmen Chapter 7167.

Library showing 'Madagascar 3'
Children ages 4 to 12 are invited to come to the Marietta location of the Washington County Public Library to watch "Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted" at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the library's meeting room. supervisors to meet
The regular monthly meeting of the Washington Soil and Water Conservation District board of supervisors will be held immediately following the annual meeting Thursday at the Washington County Career Center, 21740 State Route 676, Marietta.

An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, 304 W. 5th St., Williamstown. Bring your driver's license or blood donor card.
Magic show at
Players Theatre
The International Brotherhood of Magicians Ring 197 will present "Hocus Pocus," a magic show, at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday at the Mid-Ohio Valley Players Theatre, 229 Putnam St., Marietta. Tickets are $8 and are available at all Peoples News locations or by calling 373-2631.
Children Services levy group meets
The Washington County Children Services Levy Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at 204 Davis Ave., Marietta.
