Spaghetti dinner benefit Sunday
A spaghetti dinner benefit will be held for Larry Koon, who is suffering from small cell lung cancer. The dinner will be held from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Rock Family Worship Center, 1305 37th St., Parkersburg. RSVP by calling 304-916-5982. The fee for dinner is by donation.
Unique Boutique at end of the month
The Zonta Club of Marietta's Unique Boutique will be held beside Tractor Supply in the Frontier Shopping Center and will include a used clothing sale of men's, women's and children's clothing. Clothing may be dropped off from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 29-Nov. 1. Sale hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Nov. 2 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 3.

Marietta choir pasta fundraiser Oct. 28
The Marietta Choir annual pasta dinner fundraiser from 3 to 8 pm. Oct. 28 in the Marietta High School cafeteria. The menu will include spaghetti, salad, bread, drink, and dessert. There will be a country store and vocal entertainment throughout the evening. Tickets are $8 and are available at the door.
Live magic show
at Players Theatre
The International Brotherhood of Magicians Ring 197 will present "Hocus Pocus," a magic show, at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday at the Mid-Ohio Valley Players Theatre, 229 Putnam St., Marietta. Tickets are $8 and are available at all Peoples News locations or by calling 373-2631.
Marietta Band Bucks cards for sale
Marietta Band Boosters are selling Marietta Band Bucks discount cards, which are $10 each and offer discounts to more than 50 local businesses. Cards may be purchased from any band member or by calling Susan Hale at 336-0751. All proceeds from the fundraiser go toward the middle school and high school band programs.
Last sing of the year at Cutler Center
Jim Blair and Friends will hold the last sing for the year on Sunday at the Cutler Community Center. Lunch will be served from noon to 3 p.m.
