Wolf Creek changes board meeting dates
Wolf Creek Board of Education meeting for October has been moved to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29. The November meeting date has been changed to Nov. 19.
Haunted House Down Under coming
The third annual Haunted House Down Under will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 7 to 11 p.m. Oct. 26 and 27 and 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Washington County Fairgrounds. The cost is $5 for person with those 5 and younger free.
Volunteers needed for dog park work
Volunteers are needed from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Jackson Park in Marietta to help with readying the area to be used as a dog park. Needed are people to stretch fence, plant shrubs, plant grass seed, remove piles of brush, fill in holes and other assorted tasks.
Decatur church to sell apple butter
Decatur United Methodist Church, 3214 State Route 555, Little Hocking, Ohio will be making and selling apple butter from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The cost is $3.50 for pints and $6 for quarts.
Woodmen to match benefit's proceeds
An event benefiting the Beverly-Waterford Volunteer Fire Department will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday and will include a euchre card party, raffle, country store and bake sale. The party will be held in the fire department building in Beverly. The cost to play is $1 but donations are welcome. Refreshments will be served. All proceeds raised will be matched by the Modern Woodmen of America Chapter 7167.

Red Cross blood drive today
An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church, 304 W. 5th St., Williamstown. Those planning to donate should bring their driver's license or blood donor card.
Belpre church plans soup, cornbread
Belpre Heights United Methodist Church, 720 Clement Ave., will hold a bean soup and cornbread dinner from 1 to 6 p.m. Oct. 27. Dinner with dessert and drink is $5, hot dogs are $1.
