Walter A. Rauch

Walter A. Rauch, 71, of Waterford, died Friday (Oct. 19, 2012) at his home as a result of a farming accident.

He was born May 28, 1941, on the family farm in Watertown, son of Raymond S. and Freda A. Biedenbach Rauch. He was a welder for Airolite and was a lifelong farmer. He graduated from Waterford High School and served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

He was married April 2, 1986, to Karol Schwendeman Rauch who survives . Also surviving is a daughter, Erica Farmer and husband, Brent of Waterford; two grandchildren, McKenzi Farmer and Brock Farmer of Waterford; special friends, Josh and Amanda Greer of Fleming; three brothers, Bernard Rauch and wife, Jane, of Little Hocking, Donald Rauch and wife, Madge, of Fleming and Mark Rauch and wife, Katy, of Waterford; three sisters, Edna Stotts and husband, Russell, of Watertown, Dorothy Brauer and husband, Thomas, of Vincent and Anna Offenberger and husband, Joseph, of Zanesville; sister-in-law, Mary Rauch of Waterford; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Lawrence Edward Rauch.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor Jeff Corbett officiating. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today.
