The fall book sale presented by the Friends of the Library in Marietta is open to the public Saturday, Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 5 and 6 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 617 Fifth St. (the annex next to the main library). The Tuesday "bag day sale" will be a clearance at $2 for a full shopping bag of books.
A preview sale is open to Friends only on Friday, Nov. 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. Friends memberships may be purchased in advance at the library circulation desk or at the door on the day of the preview sale.
Proceeds from the semiannual book sales allow the Friends to assist with library programming, equipment updates and replacements, renovations and other projects. Donations of materials for the sale are encouraged and may be left in the annex breezeway anytime. Items for sale include books, music and movies including VHS and DVD. Items not accepted are magazines, textbooks, encyclopedias and condensed books.
