Paving in city to begin

Milling and paving for Marietta's 2012 citywide paving project is scheduled through Oct. 31, weather permitting, according to the city engineer's office.

"No parking" signs will be posted 48 hours in advance of the milling schedule. Traffic will be maintained and motorists should travel with caution and obey traffic control signs and flagmen.

The milling schedule begins today on Groves Avenue, Gilman Avenue, Bartlett Street and Bellevue Street.

On Thursday milling will continue on Lord Street, the Washington and Second streets intersection, Butler Street and Monroe Street.

Friday's milling will take place on Wells Street, Colegate Drive and Eighth Street.

Paving also begins Friday on Groves Avenue, Gilman Avenue, Eighth Street, Ray Street, and Jackson Street.

On Monday paving continues along Bartlett Street, Bellevue Street, Lord Street, Oak Street, Cityview Street, Dean Street and Eldridge Street.

Tuesday paving includes the Washington and Second streets intersection, Monroe Street and Butler Street.

On Oct. 31, paving is scheduled on Jefferson Street, Wells Street and Colegate Drive.
