Lucy Eloise Freeman, 92, of Mount Pleasant Retirement Center, Monroe, Ohio formerly of Marietta passed away 2:30 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 24, 2012) at Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, Ohio. She was born Thursday, June 3, 1920, in Marietta Twp., Washington County to the late Charles Foster and Grace Carpenter Adams. Eloise worked for many years for Uncle Bob's Food King as an office manager and was a member of the 6th and Washington Streets Church of Christ.
She is survived by her son, Charles Edward Adams (Stephanie) of Hamilton, Ohio; stepdaughter, Joann Freeman of Marietta; two grandsons, Charles Eric Adams (Shannon) of Deer Park, Ohio and Chad Stephen Adams (Stacy) of Liberty Township, Ohio; and eight great-grandchildren, Wesley, Wyatt, Walker and Weylon of Deer Park, Ohio, and Lainie, Abby, Cali and Zoey of Liberty Township, Ohio; one sister, Patty Miller of Vienna, W.Va.; and one sister-in-law, Norma Adams of Marietta; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Harry William Freeman on May 28, 2002; brother, Calvin Adams; and a sister, Betty Kincheloe.
Funeral services will be Monday (Oct. 29, 2012) 11 a.m. at the Chapel at East Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday at the cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.hadleyfh.com
