Harold and Ruth Bohl of Lowell will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house given by their children.
They were married on Nov. 4, 1962, by the Rev. Charles G. Claypool in the Stanleyville Community Church.
He is the son of the late George and Ruth G. Bohl and is retired from Chevron Chemical Company in Marietta.
She is the daughter of the late Walter Schimmel and Thelma Schimmel Devitt Morris. She worked part-time for Lothes Insurance Agency in Lowell.
They are the parents of Cindy (Nathan) Worthington of Lowell, Randy (Tina) Bohl of Lowell, and Julie (Cliff) Pettey of Fleming.
They have nine grandchildren: Rachel, Daniel, and Ty Worthington, Ryan, Derek, and Megan Bohl, and Trevor, Dennis, and Sarah Pettey. One grandson, Adam Worthington is deceased.
The open house will be at the United Methodist Church in Lowell on Sunday, Nov. 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. No gifts please.
