The 20th annual Lions Club broom sale will run from Oct. 29 to Nov. 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. Proceeds will go toward purchasing eyeglasses and diabetic supplies for area residents.
Marietta City Schools will need $425,000 a year to operate a hot lunch program. The school system hasn't had a lunch program for 12 years.

Two men drowned in the Ohio River above Kerr's Island. One is believed to be Ward Voas from New York or Pennsylvania, the other is unknown.
The performance of Keith's Vaudeville show was performed two times at the Auditorium. Area residents loved the performance, giving it hearty applause at the conclusion.
