Herman Richard Coe, 77, Warren Township, Marietta, passed away comfortably and peacefully at Heartland of Marietta. He was born on May 22, 1935, in Wood County, West Virginia, a son of Herman Floyd Coe and Gladys Mae Dowler Coe. He was the eldest of 7 children, employed at Marietta Concrete Silo Division and built his own business as a mechanic.
August 11, 1956, he married Darlene V. Wynn who survives with one daughter and one son: Debbie Coe Binegar (Chester) of Reno and Steve Coe (Missy) of Vincent; 5 grandchildren: Calista Fawn Coe Kerns (Mike), Jacqueline Darlene Williams (Fiance Nathan Steele), Mazie Grace Coe, Mason Trace Coe and step grandson John Wayne Binegar; 4 great grandchildren: Tyler Steele, Rozelyne Kerns, Luke Steele, Malakai Kerns; 3 brothers: Donald Clayton Coe (Sharon), Larry Vernon Coe (Christine), Thomas Wayne Coe (Helen); 1 sister Patricia Diane Coe Adams (Bobby).
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Raymond Eugene and Lewis Wetszel Coe and nephew William Floyd Coe.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (Oct. 31) at 1 p.m. at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Dr. Lloyd Dennis officiating. Burial will follow in Barlow Central Cemetery.
