Wine, cheese tasting to help Belpre Historical Society

October 30, 2012
Special to the Times , The Marietta Times

BELPRE- To aid the fundraising efforts of the Belpre Historical Society, the Unicorn Wine Guild will hold a wine and cheese tasting on Saturday.

"With the historical society trying to raise money to build their expansion, we want to do our part to help," said owner Barbara Whitaker.

The "Meet and Greet" Wine and Cheese Tasting Benefit will be from 6 to 9 p.m. at the guild's Washington Square Plaza location.

Whitaker said the tasting could include all 44 wines produced by the guild, which opened in Belpre in 2010.

"We will have a list of wines that people can choose from for the tasting with a variety of cheeses to complement them," she said.

Tickets will be $25 a person with proceeds going to the historical society for the building project.
