Sadly, it is not uncommon to read in the news about someone dying in a house fire. I would ask you for a moment to think about how you would feel if it was one of your relatives killed in this kind of catastrophe. Then think how distraught you would be to learn your loved one was lost, not in his own home, but rather he was killed heroically trying to save his next door neighbor?..a neighbor whose home had repeatedly been the target of arson threats by thugs in the neighborhood.
Add to that the news that local firemen failed to respond to multiple reports of the fire, choosing instead to watch the blaze out the window of their building as it happened. Finally, consider how you would feel watching the Fire Chief repeatedly discount his own department's culpability in the death of your loved one by suggesting the real culprit somehow set the blaze from hundreds of miles away the night of the fire.
Hard to imagine, I know??but if you can wrap your mind around that, then you can understand how the father of Tyrone Woods must feel. Ty Woods is one of the two former Navy Seals killed after leaving his safe house in Benghazi to come to the aid of President Obama's representative to Libya, Ambassador Chris Stevens. Tragically, Stevens, Woods and two other Americans were killed during a terrorist attack on the night of Sept. 11th while a US drone flew overhead and delivered real time video of the attack to the White House.
What did President Obama do when he received the news of the attack? Did he send in the rapid response teams that sat less than an hour away? He did nothing except try to blame his own failure on an obscure video long after many in his administration had come around to the position that the video had nothing to do with the attack. This is the man who has repeatedly told the nation with great bravado that "HE" got Osama bin Laden. President Obama received Hillary Clinton's much publicized "3 AM phone call"........and he came up wanting.
