"I'm voting for David White," "I'm voting for David White" ... I hear this on the radio and while the ads are well done, they are only 30 seconds long. You can't possible know this man in 30 seconds, so allow me.
Upon my return to Marietta a few years ago, David White became my neighbor. I quickly learned he was a small business owner, a veteran, a conservative patriot, and family man.
When David ran for Marietta City Council, I supported him. I am supporting him in his run for County Commissioner for the same reasons:
David White is a personal liberties kind of guy. He believes I am smart enough to choose what is right for me without the government's direction.
David White understands, believes in and will uphold the Constitution.
David believes, as do I, that many government agencies are out of control and we as a people are over regulated. I know he will fight to keep over-reaching government in-check in Washington County.
David White is a problem solver and thinker. He can, and will, listen to all sides of an issue before making a decision. He will work tirelessly to come to an agreement and see the issue resolved.
David is a moral man. He is honest, true to his beliefs, his family, his community and country. He is a man of commitment; true to his word. When David White gives you his word, you can count on it.
David is genuinely friendly. He hates public speaking, but loves one-on-one and small group conversations.
David White has a wise financial mind. He is a firm believer in living within your means. As a small business owner, he understands financial restraint.
David is a servant, not a politician. He served the city well and and he will serve the county if given the opportunity.
David and I are both veterans and I have no doubt of his loyalty to our military.
These are just a few of my reasons for supporting David White in his bid for county commissioner. I invite you to join me in electing David White to serve as our next county commissioner.
